Ιστορικό ξενοδοχείο

Το κτίριο ήταν αρχικά γνωστό ως 'Johnny Johnstons Grog Shop' το 1827. Τη δεκαετία του 1830, το λιμάνι ήταν δημοφιλής προορισμός για τους εξαντλημένους φαλαινοθήρες και τους εμπόρους μετά από ένα χρόνο παραμονής στις θάλασσες. Άλλαξε το όνομα του ξενοδοχείου σε 'The Duke of Marlborough', τον πλουσιότερο άνθρωπο του κόσμου, για να επαναφέρει την κομψότητα και τον σεβασμό στον τόπο. Με την πάροδο των ετών, το κτίριο υπέστη πυρκαγιές και πολέμους, αλλά οι ιδιοκτήτες ανακατασκεύαζαν με συνέπεια τους τοίχους του.
